Facebook Veteran Doug Frisbie Joins Snap as VP of Business Marketing
After nearly 11 years with Facebook, Doug Frisbie joined Snap to lead the business marketing efforts of Snapchat parents.
Frisbie joined Snap this week in the new role of VP of Business Marketing, reporting to Marketing Director Kenny Mitchell. Frisbie will oversee Snap’s global business marketing, working to increase awareness and adoption of Snap’s advertising products among marketers, agencies, and small to medium-sized businesses.
Most recently, Frisbie was Facebook’s business marketing manager for North America, leading the social giant’s outreach to advertisers, agencies and marketing partners for Facebook and Instagram. He also led the small business and vertical marketing of the company during his tenure with the company, after joining the company in May 2010 as head of automotive marketing.
Prior to joining Facebook, Frisbie held several brand and agency marketing roles at Toyota Motor North America and Leo Burnett. He holds a BA in History and Communications from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Snap launched its first global B2B campaign, “Meet the Snapchat Generation” in August 2020. It highlighted Gen Z and the millennial adoption of technology, along with their values and behaviors, claiming that generations hold more than $ 1 trillion in direct purchasing power.
Snap’s fourth quarter 2020 results beat Wall Street earnings expectations, with Snapchat gaining 16 million daily users to average 265 million in the quarter.
