Sales Marketing Manager – Axios Charlotte

Manages day-to-day operations and logistics for assigned special marketing programs, including venue rental marketing / advertising. Prepares all marketing regulations and manages day-to-day bill payments and bill resolutions for the marketing department, including over $ 2 million per year in event advertising. Serves as the primary contact for the Blumenthal ticket donation program and oversees promotional ticket programs. Manages the day-to-day functions of special marketing programs and is regularly assigned to lead other special projects as they arise.

Responsible for budgeting, organization, marketing / promotion and daily logistics for assigned programs. Supports the VP Marketing, Marketing Team and Board Marketing Committee, by arranging meetings, researching issues, preparing reports, running programs, etc. Manages and coordinates with other members of the marketing team the day-to-day creation, traffic and tagging of ads. Assists communications and digital staff in the production / planning of video projects, show advertising, including artist coordination and logistics and other tasks.

• Manage day-to-day operations and logistics for assigned special marketing programs, including venue rental marketing / advertising. Responsibilities include budget planning / oversight, planning / execution of marketing / promotional support, organizing meetings and specials, planning / setting up advertisements and other marketing related functions . Serves as the primary liaison with external companies affiliated with these programs
• Serve as the primary contact for the Blumenthal ticket donation program; fulfills requests and fulfills donation orders
• Manages Marketing Regulations: Collects, reviews, and prepares all documentation required for marketing regulations packages before the deadline. Research and answers to questions related to settlement documents
• Manages the marketing payment process and record keeping for all advertising and other marketing invoices. Verifies payment amounts against contracts and marketing plans, investigates and resolves any payment disputes. Are the monthly reviews and reconciliation season marketing account for Broadway Lights Series ($ 500,000) and for the annual marketing department budget ($ 225,000)
• Creates and executes marketing plans and strategies for assigned Blumenthal attractions. Acquire press opportunities for certain Blumenthal attractions, as assigned; coordinating with members of the media and press officers to arrange interviews for a variety of media including print, online, television and radio
• Assists the Vice President with the Marketing Committee of the Board of Directors, including the organization of meetings, minutes, reports, etc. Researches and prepares reports, presentations and minutes as required. Also works closely with the VP on the execution of marketing research, including the organization of focus groups (identification and solicitation of participants), meeting logistics and preparation of materials and on preparation and maintenance of other reports related to measurements
• Supports the day-to-day marketing team and serves as a key backup across key platforms including websites and email programs. Organizes and maintains requests for free tickets. Assist managers and other coordinators with affinity groups and other special events in the organization and delivery of programs. Assists the Director of Communications in event publicity efforts, including artist coordination and logistical arrangements
• Performs additional tasks as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, Communication or a related field completed with a minimum of five years of experience in a previous position that utilizes most of the skills required for that position
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Excellent quantitative skills including basic algebra needed to create simple spreadsheet formulas, and knowledge / experience with database organization, queries and basic statistics is required
• Candidates should also have a solid knowledge of advertising and marketing strategy and tactics, as well as excellent organizational, detail and time management skills and communication expertise (written and verbal).
• Must be very proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Also desire experience with Filmmaker Pro and the ability to use professional video camera and editing software
• Basic skills in Photoshop and other Adobe design products are also preferred
• Must be able to work as well in a team as in autonomy with a minimum of supervision
• Evening or weekend hours will be required
