Boyfriend Charged With Murder Of Leading Celebrity Business Director Angela Kukawski

An arrest was made for the murder of Angela “Angie” Kukawski, 55, a Los Angeles business executive who has represented several celebrities including the Kardashians and Nicki Minaj in her career, while Kukawski’s boyfriend has been charged with murder, police announced Wednesday.

Kukawski was found dead in the trunk of her car last week by police a day after her disappearance, and her boyfriend Jason Barker, 49, was arrested Tuesday on murder and other charges.

Authorities said they believed Barker may have tortured Kukawski in some way before she died in their Los Angeles home, as she was stabbed with stab wounds, and the Kukawski’s office. Prosecutors wrote in his felony complaint that Barker, using a knife, “inflicted unlawfully and with intent to cause cruel and extreme pain and suffering for the purposes of revenge, extortion, persuasion and in a sadistic goal, to inflict serious bodily harm “on Kukawski. , reported ABC7.

Barker is accused of killing Kukawski in their Sherman Oaks home, putting his body in the trunk of his car, and then driving him to where the car was found abandoned on a street a few days later by police in Simi Valley, northwest of Los Angeles, authorities said. .

Kukawski worked for Boulevard Management and during his career represented several celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Offset, Kanye West and the Tupac Shakur estate, according to Variety.

“Angela was really the best,” the Kardashians and Jenner family said in a statement to ABC7. “She cared about each of us and made impossible things happen. We will miss her dearly and extend our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time.”

Barker is in jail on $ 3.07 million bail on one count of torture and murder, according to prison records reported by ABC7.

Barker did not plead or respond to the charges. It is not clear whether he has hired a lawyer who could comment.

“We are saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our colleague, Angie Kukawski,” Todd Bozick of Boulevard Management said in a statement. “Angie was a kind and wonderful person, and everyone who knew her will be sadly missed.”
